New features
Legal Hold
Dubber makes available its Legal Hold feature for customers operating in regulated industries. Another option in the suite of compliance features offered by Dubber, Legal Hold assists customers in preserving customer interactions that have had their importance increased through an external event.
How it helps
Value unlocked by voice data is different for each business. For most, insights are obtained through aggregation of data and the application of data visualisation technologies to obtain a macro-level view. In all businesses, simply having recordings and voice data accessible can quickly resolve misunderstandings or provide clarity to a dispute.
Occasionally, the micro view increases in value as a result of an external event. Those working in risk, policy and enforcement across regulated industries need to protect data relating to that external event from unintended data deletion. Dubber’s Legal Hold helps by allowing recordings and their associated data to be immediately placed under protection from all forms of erasure.
When a recording is placed under Legal Hold, the audio and all associated voice data is protected from all forms of deletion and will continue as a permanent record. Recordings can be placed under Legal Hold in bulk using customer, keyword or user filters, to quickly protect large sets of data for further analysis and investigation.
Dubber’s suite of compliance tools helps businesses remain compliant and to observe best practices in the capture and storage of personal information. Legal Hold gives those responsible for upholding compliance the tools to protect data quickly, easily, and effectively, when the need arises.
How users get the most value
Account administrators can place recordings and associated voice data under Legal Hold singularly or using Dubber’s bulk tools. Filters are available to account administrators to locate recordings under Legal Hold to assist in locating and retrieving important calls.
Standard users are unable to place recordings and associated voice data under Legal Hold, nor are they able to use quick filters to locate held recordings.
Recordings cannot be placed under Legal Hold through Dubber’s API, however a new field is present when a GET call is performed, which indicates whether the recording has been placed under Legal Hold.
How it is enabled on an account
Legal Hold is available to all accounts from all service providers as part of CALL DUB and DUB AI licenses but cannot be enabled on accounts that have existing restricted dub.points. All dub.points need to be converted to unrestricted first before Legal Hold can be enabled. Contact Dubber to have Legal Hold enabled on an account.
Service providers that do not currently offer CALL DUB and DUB AI licenses should reach out to the Dubber team to have their offering updated.
