There are three ways to install the Dubber app in Microsoft Teams: user-managed, administrator-managed for a group of users, or administrator-managed for all users.
User-managed
Users can install the Dubber app on their own device.
- Run Microsoft Teams. In the menu bar on the left, click the “…” button to add more apps.
- Search for “Dubber unified call recording” and click the app.
- After you install the Dubber app, we recommend you right-click the Dubber button, and then pin it to the menu in the sidebar.
Administrator-managed for a Group of Users
An administrator of your organisation can remotely install the Dubber application for a select group of users.
-
Login to your Microsoft Teams admin centre at https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/ .
-
Click on Teams apps / Setup policies. Add a new policy. Specify a name, for example, “Sales Department Dubber”. Add the “Dubber unified call recording” app to the “Installed apps” or the “Pinned apps”. We recommend you choose pinned apps to make it easier for users to locate when they are in a meeting.
-
Click “Save”.
-
Select the new policy that was created and click “Manage users”. Add all of the users who you would like to be in this policy.
-
Click “Apply”.

How to Use the Dubber App
The first time the Dubber app opens in Microsoft Teams, select the region where your Dubber account is located. Dubber saves this setting automatically so you don’t need to select it when you login in future.
The Dubber app shows you real-time information about calls you have in progress.
While a call is in progress, you can click the “Pause/Resume” button to control whether the recording is paused.
If you see the following message, it means you don’t have a valid Dubber license.
To obtain a Dubber license for Microsoft Teams:
-
If your organisation has a Dubber account, contact your Microsoft Teams Administrator or Dubber Account Manager.
-
If your organisation does not have a Dubber account, go to https://www.dubber.net/marketplace/microsoft-teams. You can learn about the benefits of Dubber for your organisation, request a product demo, and chat with a Dubber representative about purchasing a Dubber license.
